The Mictlan figure by artist Jesse Hernandez (Urban Aztec), who is widely recognized for his street art murals inspired by his own indigenous culture, was a favorite vinyl toy of the team. We wanted to make an extra special variant of it that featured an exclusive blacklight reactive paint color way, as well as refining it’s articulation, When we initiated the project we found the original molds had disappeared. So we had an extra challenge to recreate the figure and engineering from scratch. The final product had the whole team glowing.
